Three-cup chicken

Main ingredients: Chicken 20 oz, ginger, scallion, garlic, basil 

Sauce: Soy sauce, cooking wine, vinegar, sesame oil

“Three cup” chicken gets its name from the simple flavours that bring out the aroma in this popular dish: soy sauce, rice wine, and sesame oil. Traditionally, the chicken is cooked in an earthenware pot over high heat, but has been modified in our version for any home cook. The result is a crispy, delicious dish to share with family and friends.

Cooking time: 8-10 minutes

Instructions

  1. Heat pan on high heat and add 1 teaspoon of oil.
  2. Once the pan is hot, stir fry ginger, scallion, garlic, and basil for 1 minute.
  3. Turn the stove to medium heat and add chicken and sauce packages to the pan. Mix evenly.
  4. Cover the pan and cook for 5 to 6 minutes.
  5. Plate the dish and serve with rice.
